Why I Chose the LG Versa over its Competitors

 One simple answer is options. I loved the fact that I had the option to add a full keyboard to this phone if I felt the need to. When I first started looking at the phone I was 100% against a full touch screen phone.  I thought it would be too difficult to operate a phone without buttons.  Since this phone did have the detachable keyboard I figured why not give it a shot. 

What I have found in the past months is that a touch screen phone is not hard to operate at all, well if you dont have huge fingers. I have grown to favor the touch screen over the keyboard and no longer use it at all. 

The other selling point for me was the cube desktop.  I liked the fact that I could create 3 different desktops that I could access via the flick of a finger. 

The camera is excellent but only a 2 mp as where the LG Dare sports a 3.2 mp one. Also there was a bug in the software that would cause the phone to freeze when multiple text messages were coming in simultaneously. They released a new firmware update that has practically eliminated this problem.

To check your firmware go to Settings & Tools -> Phone Info -> SW/HW Version and look for the SW Version. If the last three characters are not V04 or higher then take your phone to a local Verizon store and tell them you want the software update. They may tell you that there is not one or try and talk you out of it but be persistent. Since I got the update my phone is almost perfect. The touch screen is way more responsive and the freezing problem has only occured once in the past two months.

I would highly reccomend this phone to anyone who asked and dont be afraid to venture into the world of touch screens. I never thought I would be a supporter but look at me now. Hope this helps any people still on the fence.
